By downloading, installing, or using the Cipher application ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

Cipher is a decentralized, blockchain-secured messaging application that provides end-to-end encrypted communications, file sharing, voice messaging, and integrated cryptocurrency wallet functionality.

3. User Responsibilities

As a user of Cipher, you are responsible for:

  • Safeguarding your cryptographic private keys and recovery phrases
  • All activities that occur under your account identity
  • Complying with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction
  • Using the Service only for lawful purposes

4. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to use Cipher to:

  • Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law
  • Transmit any material that is harmful, threatening, abusive, or otherwise objectionable
  • Attempt to interfere with or compromise the integrity of the Service
  • Distribute malware, viruses, or other harmful software
  • Engage in any form of illegal financial activity

5. Intellectual Property

The Cipher name, logo, and application design are protected by intellectual property laws. Cipher's core protocol is open source and available under its respective license. You may not use Cipher's branding in any way that suggests endorsement without prior written permission.

6. Cryptocurrency Wallet

Cipher includes an integrated cryptocurrency wallet. You understand and accept that: (a) you are solely responsible for your wallet security and private keys; (b) cryptocurrency transactions are irreversible; (c) Cipher cannot recover lost keys or reverse transactions; (d) cryptocurrency values are volatile and subject to market risks.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Cipher is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cipher and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of cryptocurrency or digital assets.

9. Termination

You may stop using Cipher at any time by uninstalling the application. Due to our decentralized architecture, we do not have the ability to terminate individual accounts. However, we reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service at any time.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Updated terms will be posted on this page. Your continued use of Cipher after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
